I am now into my seventh year at teaching art. I graduated from Pearl High School in 2004, so I have always been a Pirate! I received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Mississippi State University and a Master's of Fine Arts in Studio art from Memphis College of Art. I am excited to bring what I know to students that are interested in a career in art. I have a wonderful wife who is also in the school district, and a little girl and boy. When I am not teaching I love go on trips to concerts, hang out with my family, travel, and work in my shop/studio. As an artist, I am primarily a sculptor and enjoy working in wood carving and metal forging. My goals for all of my students is for them to get over the fear of failing and learn to take risks to express their inner selves.
